eyewa is looking for Optical Technician/ Optician as below details:
Responsibility:
● Lens Cutting: Utilize lens cutting and edging equipment to shape and size prescription
lenses accurately.
● Frame Assembly: Assemble eyeglass frames, ensuring proper alignment and fit according
to customer prescriptions and preferences.
● Adjustments: Perform adjustments and repairs on eyeglasses to ensure comfort and
proper vision for customers.
● Lens Insertion: Carefully insert lenses into frames, taking into account the specific
requirements of each prescription.
● Quality Control: Inspect finished eyewear products to ensure they meet quality
standards and prescription accuracy.
● Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of eyeglass frames, lenses, and
related optical supplies.
● Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to understand their eyewear needs and
provide guidance on frame selection and adjustments.
● Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate optical equipment regularly to ensure accuracy and
performance.
● Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of customer orders, prescriptions, and
inventory.
Requirements/Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent.
● 3-5 years proven experience as an Optical Technician or in a similar role.
● Familiarity with optical equipment and tools, including lens cutting and frame
adjustment instruments.
● Strong attention to detail and precision in handling delicate eyewear components.
● Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
● Effective communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions.
● Knowledge of optical principles and lens types is advantageous.
● Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting.
